A follow on from yesterday’s post. I made the cold coffee about 1 cup of coarse ground beans to 4 cups of water. Roughly. I eyeballed it. I made it in a cafetiere so it would be easier to strain. I left it for about 14 hours in the fridge.
I tasted it and it was smooth but strong. I mixed it 50/50 with boiling water and it made a decent cup of coffee but it wasn’t hot enough. I should have microwaved it.
I then put the rest of the cold coffee, strained, into a different container for storage.
Next I made a latte with about 3-1 milk to coffee and microwaved it. It was very nice.
I think the cold brew coffee it okay but it’s more work unless you are making chilled coffee drinks imo. I think I’ll be grinding beans for hot coffee from now on 😋
