I had plans for today. I was going to carry out some extensive tests with my new pistols. However it was not to be. My son’s Warhammer 40K game arrived and I promised to help him put it together and play a game.
It took us about 2.5 hours to assemble all of the Space Marines and Necrons that were in the box. We then played a couple of the scenarios in the book. My son has such an active imagination that he came up with a couple of house rules too. We played for about 2 hours before he’d had enough.
I’ve always enjoyed the Warhammer games and I enjoy reading the background material to the Warhammer universe. I’m not sure it has grabbed my son the same way it grabbed me but we’ll have to wait and see.
I did manage to get half an hour shooting in but it was cold in the garage so I was happy to cut it short.
