Hard to believe it’s still February. I was working in our garden in my t-shirt, as t-shirted neighbors passed by, this morning. I was making a start on tidying up. I’d pruned a tree late last year but I’d left the wood to dry off a bit as it was hard to cut when freshContinue reading “Sunny Saturday!”

The one that got away.
Thank goodness it’s Friday! Today just got away from me. I pottered about, did some sweeping up in the garden, put some laundry away and suddenly it’s tea time! I’m currently sat on the sofa with my wife and daughter watching Traffic Cops on the telly. Soon be bedtime!
Roadmap out of lockdown.
Some light at the end of the tunnel. We should soon be allowed to have family around for food and conversation. Hopefully by the end of March I’ll be able to go to the shooting range again. With luck we can go to a restaurant for my son’s birthday at the end of April. AndContinue reading “Roadmap out of lockdown.”
When the going gets going.
Some good news with regards to work. I’ve asked a few people about their experiences under Covid and it is mostly positive. It looks like the vast majority of people are being sensible. I’m doing a deep clean at home and my daughter has accused me of malicious vacuuming at an ungodly hour. I pointedContinue reading “When the going gets going.”
Relax
Had a chilled out Sunday. Did very little and finished with a trip to the Macdonald’s drive thru and a bottle of wine. Now to watch News of the World with Tom Hanks.
You must live like animals!
As part of my plan to combat my increasing withdrawal and depression I’m putting together a list of jobs to do around the house. I’m hoping that getting in to a routine and achieving something every day will help. Having a look on Pinterest to get a little help with ideas was an eye opener!Continue reading “You must live like animals!”
So tired …
Had a bad few nights. I’ve not been sleeping properly and I’m convinced I have sleep apnea. Not to mention that yesterday I went for a walk with my kids and whilst I was waiting for them to explore and rush about I got cold and my arthritis started to ache. I fell asleep onContinue reading “So tired …”
Milk and a biscuit. A poem.
Inspired by the night time ritual with my children. “A glass of milk, alone, is a splendid treat. A biscuit, solo, tastes oh so sweet. There must have been a time when milk and biscuit were sister and brother because when taken together they complement one another. Just before bed they can help you sleep.”Continue reading “Milk and a biscuit. A poem.”
Bath time for baby. A poem.
It’s time for your bath baby Joshua. Put you in the tub for a washua. Scrub scrub scrub your little botua. Until you are nice and clean Joshua.
Thank goodness it’s Friday!
Felt a bit rough today. My get up and go has got up and went! Managed to get the children started on their home schooling and then I went for a walk. The walk seems to have energised me a bit but I think I may have a cold. Fish and chips tonight, so IContinue reading “Thank goodness it’s Friday!”
