Mussolini’s boots.

This is why you must always keep soldiers busy. Their propensity for mischief is boundless. Whilst in Italy in 1943, as the Axis coalition collapsed, the REME stole Mussolini’s boots! They pulled them off of Mussolini’s statue and they are on display at the REME museum in Lynham UK.

Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Museum.

The kids and I spent an enjoyable hour at the REME Museum out Chippenham way. Basically the REME love putting winches and hoists on things. The Tank Museum.

We went on a family trip to Bovington, UK today to visit the Tank Museum. They have quite a lot of “tank chats” on YouTube if you are interested.

Slightly overwhelmed.

Throw it in the bin.

We spent several hours decluttering the kitchen at the weekend. It felt good to get organized. I found an over-engineered pasta pot that my mum gave me in 2012 for my birthday. I’m in pain. Today was my first full day back at work since Christmas. I commuted on my e-bike and this morning there were only 2 bars on the power indicator. Busy day.

I have cut the grass, washed 4 machines of laundry, prepared lunch for 3 days and made 20 foot of hedgerow for war-gaming from green scouring pads and hot glue. Now to prepare dinner.

We did a deep clean of our bedroom today. This is due to me finding “carpet moths” over the last week. We had an infestation a few years ago.
