We played a new wargame tonight called Stargrave. A sci fi game that pits 2 starship crews against each other in a skirmish. Think Firefly or similar. There are plenty of reviews, unboxing video or game run throughs online if you are interested. I can recommend the game. We picked up the rules quickly andContinue reading “Stargrave.”

What a Tanker!
I’ve poached an idea or two from a Facebook group and invented some myself. I give you 8 additional tanker cards to use.
An hour’s fun.
It was like I was a kid again, only better. I bought 3 Zvezda tanks in 15mm scale. A British Matilda, an American Sherman and a German Ferdinand. I’d not bought from Zvezda before but had heard they have a great reputation, so I was confident of a good product. However what I got wasContinue reading “An hour’s fun.”
3D printing.
A friend had lent me a 3D printer. It’s the sort that melts plastic and lays it down in a pattern. I’ve found a nice few pieces of 15mm scale buildings that I will print if possible. My first attempt was a section of damaged wall. This only took 3 hours to print. The smallestContinue reading “3D printing.”
Fantastic day.
The day started well as both my wife and I were working from home and the children were at school. Let’s just say we had a leisurely start to our day. I earned brownie points by deep cleaning the upstairs bathroom. Everything in there was washed and polished to within an inch of its life!Continue reading “Fantastic day.”
Down a rabbit hole …
You know how you can lose hours looking at the internet? I’ve had one of those days. Saturday is usually a domestic day, with laundry, vacuuming the carpets and doing a big shop. It’s gone slightly wrong.
I went for a bike ride today. I wanted to do a circuit near my house as I’m lucky to have some good cycling infrastructure and quiet roads. I’d been out for about 30 minutes. I had a good cycle down to the river and I’d hit 30 mph at one stage. I’d pootled alongContinue reading “It’s gone slightly wrong.”

At the risk of appearing rude 2 – a poem
At the risk of appearing rude, you make awful food. At the risk of appearing rude, you look awful in the nude. At the risk of appearing rude, your voice is awfully crude. At the risk of appearing rude. At the risk of appearing rude, your mouth, shut, should be glued. At the risk ofContinue reading “At the risk of appearing rude 2 – a poem”
